An economy fair for all

Labour's promise on the economy is an economy fair for all that recognises the global impact of impending climate change.

Labour's economic policy relies on a Green New Deal and an investment led recovery, innovation to be created in the public sector or jointly with the private sector, increased workers control, decarbonising of the energy and transport industries, the offer of free life long learning to allow people to reskill.

Reform of the energy supply industry must be based on the principle of just transition.

Utilities used by all should be run under common ownership.

Trade under free trade agreements with our trading partners.

The Tax system must be recalibrated so that everyone pays a fair share according to their income and wealth.
