Climate change and BEIS

The Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has responsibility for climate change.

BEIS owns the Met Office and its climate research facilities. BEIS appoints the members of the Committee on Climate Change.

The focus of BEIS is more on business than climate policy and has an incorrect view on the UK's performance regarding greenhouse emissions. The UK is not a world leader.

Climate change should become the responsibility of a Department of Climate Change.

Given the severity of the climate crisis we must lead the world in a different direction. This needs an approach, which can be called enhanced town planning.
