Conference motion on public vote betrayed

"If we cannot get a general election Labour must support all options remaining on the table, including campaigning for a public vote."

A general election by when?

Is this a blank cheque to delay campaigning for a public vote forever?

The relevant period is the next six months. If there's to be a public vote, we must decide on it before 31st October and get another extension on that basis.

Is there going to be a general election in that period? Of course not.

Now is the time for this motion to be put into practice.
