Party should be actively backing Remain in a 2nd referendum

As the decision to brexit was taken by a referendum, the democratically legitimate way to reverse the decision is by another referendum.  The claim that another referendum would be undemocratic is absurd.  The current polling suggests that a second referendum has majority backing and a majority would back remain.  This policy has strong suppport amongst Labour voters and overwhelming support among Labour members.  Leaving the EU would be a triumph for the Tory right.  The assertion that Labour could negotiate a successful jobs-first Brexit is not credible as all forms of Brexit are damaging to the UK in multiple ways.  Continuing to maintain this position is losing us support, particularly amongst the youngest voters.
