The role of a statutory youth service is to provide young people with a voice and to encourage young people's active participation in their communities and politics. Including having readily available funding for youth services and organizations to come in and teach Political literacy.

Only through political literacy can young people truly become engaged in politics for the long term, safeguarding our democracy for future generations.
