On the 11th November, Winchester Constituency Labour Party, in conjunction with the GMB trade union, will host the Hampshire National Policy Forum Consultation from 11am to 6pm. The event is being held at The Stripe Theatre, Winchester University, and will feature guest MPs and representatives from the National Policy Forum.

Labour is a Democratic Socialist Party and we make our policy together through our policy development process that involves party members, local parties, affiliates and Labour’s elected representatives, as well as external stakeholders. We want the public to engage with the party in the process of policy making, identifying key issues to help build on the success of the 2017 Manifesto → https://labour.org.uk/manifesto/

Labour supporters and those who want to get involved and make a positive contribution are welcome at the consultation to join in the discussion on Labour Party policies.

The consultation will hold group discussions around four policy areas:

- ECONOMY, BUSINESS AND TRADE

- HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE

- HOUSING, LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND TRANSPORT

- EARLY YEARS, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Following the event, NPF representatives will report back to the appropriate policy commissions (https://www.policyforum.labour.org.uk/commissions) on what was discussed. Individual members and Constituency and Branch Labour Parties can submit their ideas via the Labour Policy Forum. Notes from the discussions will feed into the official policy making process, and be discussed at meetings of the Policy Commissions.

The consultation is open to the public; Members and Non-Members alike are welcome.

No registration is required
