The National Policy Forum Consultation closed in July 2020 with a record number of submissions – a big thank you to all who took part.

All views were submitted to the NPF for their consideration and have informed eight interim reports for 2020, one per policy commission. These are in lieu of the usual NPF Annual Report which, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, could not be taken to Annual Conference and debated on Conference floor as per the normal process.

These reports outline a set of principles which the NPF will build upon each year as work towards the next General Election in 2024. Your views are an integral part of the policy making process, and so we are asking for members, affiliates and stakeholders to comment on these reports.

Read the eight interim reports and find out how you can submit your views here.

The deadline for submissions is 1st March 2021.

What happens next in the policy making process?

Moving into 2021, the NPF will be launching its 2021 Consultation in the summer months, following the May local elections. The findings of this consultation, alongside the updated interim reports, will inform a fuller report to be taken to Annual Conference in September 2021. If passed by delegates, this will form the Party’s policy platform.

If you have any questions about these reports, or the policy making process, please email us at [email protected]

We look forward to hearing your comments and suggestions on these important principles on how we can rebuild our country and ensure a fairer Britain for all.
